File Formats
- Preferred: 300dpi PDF (specifically PDF/X-4) is the industry standard for keeping layout integrity.
- Other Formats: AI, EPS, TIFF, JPG, PSD (call us about other formats).
- Compression: If your project contains multiple files, please group everything into a ZIP file to help reduce size.
- File Size: We prefer individual files under 250MB, often using ZIP compression to submit large projects. For larger files, share a Dropbox or Google Drive link in the form instead.
Resolution & Color
- Resolution: Minimum of 300 DPI
- Color: CMYK is essential for accurate, professional-grade printing. RGB is accepted as well.
Layout & Bleed
- Bleed: Add 0.125” (1/8 inch) bleed to all sides to avoid white edges after cutting.
- Safety Margin: Keep text and important graphics at least 0.125” inside the trim line to avoid getting cut off.
- Layout: Send documents as single pages, not spreads or booklets, unless specified.
Fonts & Images
- Fonts: Convert all text to outlines or curves to avoid font issues
- Images: Embed all images into the document (do not link them) to prevent missing file errors.
- Transparency: Flatten transparency to prevent unexpected artifacts.
Final Checklist
- Spell Check: Check spelling and image quality.
- guidelines: Remove template guidelines/lines before saving final file.
